Dimond Library is in a high need area. 1 minute off the 580 highway, it is ideal for those coming from southern or eastern parts of Alameda County or who live in the Oakland hills. Children ESPECIALLY need this program in this area.
Volunteer shift is from 12:30 pm to 2 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Lunch will be served from 12:45-1:45 pm.
General reminder: Please stick to one library and sign up for a minimum of 4 shifts. If you can do more shifts, the better! If the library or shift you wanted to take has filled up, there are other locations that need more volunteers!
Also, depending on the high need at some locations, we may have to move some volunteers to accomodate that need. We will keep you posted. Our hope is that we can serve all 11 locations---help us recruit more volunteers to make that a reality!
